Sunrise to Sunset

An immersive retreat

With Paul and Aja

Retreat description

Have you ever felt that post-retreat, or even post-yoga class feeling of total alignment slip away as soon as you’re back to the hustle and bustle of normal life?

Feeling connected to Source is largely down to our awareness, and what better way to invite that feeling of connection throughout your day than by embracing practices that help you come into the present moment? As Tolle says, realising the power of Now all we need.

Whether it’s the first thing you do when you wake up, or the last thing before you go to sleep; or when you sit down for a meal; or when you first step on to the earth; or when you’re watching the sunset, or in a queue at the bank; or when you’re talking to another person… the Yogic tradition has a rich and diverse set of practices that you can use to punctuate your day with tuning in to the sacred.

As well as exploring a variety of movement on the mat - with Dru Yoga and Meditation, Mandala Vinyasa and restorative yin, we will also focus on connecting off the mat - with the essence of the sea, the indigenous forest, Mida Creek ecosystem, seva with a local community, learning the yoga of food, and some Ayurvedic lifestyle sessions.

Our aim is for you to come away with the techniques and practices that help you feel connected to Essence. For that is our natural state, we just sometimes need a little help tuning into it…

This retreat will take place at Watamu Treehouse in Kenya.

Meet your teacher for this retreat.

Paul and Aja have been leading retreats together for over 10 years, and have explored Kenya and the Watamu coast much before that. They are the creators of Treehouse.

Aja is a vinyasa, yin and Dru yoga teacher, and an Ayurvedic practitioner. Ayurveda utilises the pathways of yoga, food, lifestyle changes, herbs and therapies to bring a state of balance to body and mind, and to help an individual tune in to their natural rhythms.

Paul is a Dru yoga and meditation teacher, passionate about sharing ancient wisdom from scriptures like the Bhagavad Gita and making it practical for modern day living. He also teaches vision board sessions.

Through the creation and busy running of Treehouse, they have come to fully appreciate how crucial it is to have daily practices that help maintain awareness and gratitude for this Creation. Developing a connection to something deeper than the physical is what makes this life so magical.
