Getting to Treehouse

The closest airport to Treehouse is Malindi, which is approximately 25 minutes taxi ride from Treehouse. We can arrange transfers for you. The following airlines fly to Malindi from Nairobi: Jambojet; Skywards Express; Air Kenya and Safarilink.

You can also fly to Mombasa International Airport on any of the the airlines listed above plus Kenya Airways. Mombasa is approximately 2 hours drive from Treehouse, and a great option when Malindi flights are full or expensive. Or you can take the SGR Train to Mombasa and we arrange a transfer.

Driving Directions

Watamu Treehouse is 111 Km from Mombasa (Nyali Bridge) and 25 Km from Malindi Airport. Driving directions from Mombasa: 

• Drive north on the Mombasa – Malindi Road until you reach Gede – exactly 100 KM from the Nyali Bridge

• Turn right at Gede just after the Oil Libya petrol station.

• Drive 5.8 KM down the Gede-Watamu road until you get to the T-junction with all the signs.

• Turn right onto the Turtle Bay Road

• Drive 4 Km down the road.  Pass the 3 hotels – Ocean Sports, Hemminways, Turtle Bay. The houses on the left will start having numbers. You will see numbers like 6, 10…. Etc… Treehouse is number 31.

• Turn left at plot 31 where you will see the sign “T” (for Treehouse)
